Terms of Service

Terms that govern access to and use of Vorthra, including accounts, organizations, public Vorthra Records, billing, API keys, and acceptable use.

Last updated: May 28, 2026

Who We Are

Vorthra provides a platform for creating Vorthra Records for digital content. Users can upload a file or submit a public URL, make a legal confirmation, and generate a Vorthra Record with a unique Vorthra Record ID, recorded timestamp, SHA-256 hash, public Vorthra Record page, downloadable badge, QR code, and PDF record.

Acceptance Of These Terms

By accessing or using Vorthra, creating an account, joining an organization, creating a Vorthra Record, using an API key, or managing a subscription, you agree to these Terms.

If you use Vorthra on behalf of a company, organization, client, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

The Vorthra Service

Vorthra allows users and organizations to create Vorthra Records for digital content.

  • Vorthra Record ID, recorded timestamp, and SHA-256 hash.
  • Source title, source type, and metadata.
  • Source URL or uploaded file metadata where applicable.
  • Verified person display name and authentication/account verification level.
  • Organization display name and rights holder name.
  • Public Vorthra Record page, QR code, badge, PDF record, and public API projection.

Vorthra is a technical verification and record-generation platform. It does not act as a court, notary, copyright office, licensing authority, identity authority, or legal adviser.

A Vorthra Record proves that a verified person created a Digital Record for a specific version of a file at a recorded point in time. Vorthra does not independently determine factual truth, ownership, originality, authenticity of claims, consent validity, or whether content was manipulated before recording.

Accounts, Organizations, And Roles

To use authenticated features, you must sign in using a supported authentication method, such as magic-link email login or Google OAuth when enabled. You are responsible for all activity under your account, organization membership, and API keys.

Vorthra supports personal and business organizations. Organization members may have roles such as owner, admin, member, or viewer. Access to features depends on role, subscription plan, and feature availability.

  • Owners are responsible for billing and ownership-sensitive actions.
  • Admins may manage organization profile, members, invites, and plan-gated features.
  • Members may create Vorthra Records where role and plan allow.
  • Viewers may view organization resources where allowed.

Legal Confirmation And Vorthra Records

Before creating a Vorthra Record, Vorthra requires an explicit legal confirmation:

I confirm that I am the verified person and legally confirm this content.

By creating a Vorthra Record, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the identified individual or are authorized to act for the identified individual or organization.
  • You have all rights, licenses, permissions, consents, and authority needed to submit the file or URL.
  • You have the right to create and publish the Vorthra Record.
  • Your submission does not infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, contractual, or other rights.
  • The information you provide is accurate and not misleading.
  • You understand that public Vorthra Records may be visible to anyone with the link.

A Vorthra Record does not prove authorship, factual truth, legality, who physically created the content, official status, copyright ownership, license scope, consent validity, or legal enforceability. If content later produces a different cryptographic hash from the original Vorthra Record, the content may no longer correspond to the originally recorded state and may be identified as modified or altered.

Vorthra does not independently determine whether content is AI-generated, synthetic, manipulated, misleading, deceptive, or altered before recording unless explicitly stated otherwise by the platform.

User Content And Public Records

You retain ownership of your content, files, URLs, metadata, names, logos, profile information, organization information, thumbnails, and other materials submitted to or generated through Vorthra.

You grant Vorthra a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, reproduce, transform, and create technical derivatives of User Content solely as needed to provide the service, generate records, operate public pages, provide analytics, support billing, and enforce these Terms.

Public Vorthra Records are intentionally public. Anyone with the record URL may be able to view the public record, download a PDF, generate or scan a QR code, download or generate a badge, fetch a public JSON projection, and share the URL.

Visual overlays, QR codes, badges, and public trust marks are designed as verification indicators only. Verification validity should be confirmed through the active public Vorthra Record, associated cryptographic hash, and current verification status.

Plan Limits And Billing

Feature availability, quotas, upload limits, seat limits, analytics access, API access, white-label branding, and processing priority may vary by plan. We may enforce limits technically.

  • Restricted read-only access may keep existing records readable but disable new Vorthra Records and uploads.
  • Starter, Premium, Pro, and Enterprise plans may include different record limits, analytics, API access, priority processing, team administration, high-volume verification usage, and branding features.
  • Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe or another payment provider.
  • Subscription fees are generally billed in advance and renew automatically until canceled, unless otherwise stated.
  • If a trial ends or no paid subscription is active, the organization may move to a restricted read-only state.
  • If payment fails, access may become past due, downgraded, restricted, or canceled.

API Access

Some plans may include API access. If you create or use API keys, you are responsible for keeping them secret, using appropriate scopes, rotating and revoking keys when needed, monitoring usage, and ensuring that automated use complies with these Terms.

We may rate-limit, suspend, revoke, or disable API access for security, abuse prevention, unpaid invoices, or Terms violations.

Acceptable Use And Security

You must not use Vorthra to violate law, infringe rights, impersonate others, create misleading records, upload harmful content, publish private information without authority, bypass billing or access controls, abuse APIs, or interfere with platform security.

Detailed acceptable use rules are available at /acceptable-use. Security reports should be sent to security@vorthra.com.

Disclaimers And Liability

Vorthra is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, security, and error-free operation.

Visual overlays, QR codes, badges, and public trust marks alone do not independently guarantee authenticity or legal validity.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vorthra will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or cost of substitute services.

Governing Law And Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Venue and dispute resolution will be in the State of Delaware, United States, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
